Job Summary
NOTE: This position is currently within Power Finance in PSEG Services. We expect the Fossil sale to be completed within the next 6-12 months, and it is our expectation, although not a certainty, that in the event of the sale of the Fossil plants this position will not remain within PSEG, but will transfer to the buyer.

This position provides financial and analytical expertise to support the achievement of business goals and strategic objectives. Primary responsibilities include integrating financial and operational information to add value to the business, and coordinating the business planning process for the stations assigned, including the preparation and analysis of station P&Ls.
Job Responsibilities
* Perform analysis of unit operations and financial impact to revenue and O&M.
* Analyze variances from budget, coordinate station reconciliation and develop profit recovery plans and strategies.
* Support business objectives by using financial and benchmarking studies to monitor business performance.
* Maintain long-term business plan.
* Provide information and recommendations to energy market personnel to support unit bid pricing to maximize station profits, including the maintenance and updating of Plant Operating Factors and Variable O&M costs.
* Develop financial decision-making skills among station associates.
* Implement and administer financial business systems and tools (such as, activity-based costing, commitment accounting and project accounting) to assist management in analyzing the potential impacts of its decisions.
* Assist with special projects as necessary.
Job Specific Qualifications
Required:
* Bachelor Degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering or related degree or 5 years of experience in the power generation business
* Experience working with financial statements, transaction accounting and performance measurement and analysis
* Advanced Excel skills including experience with pivot tables and Vlookup formulas
* Knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and utilization of database applications
Desired:
* Knowledge of energy markets and bidding
* Knowledge of Power Plant operations
* SAP Experience

PSEG as 100 People
PSEG has 13,000 employees across multiple states representing varied backgrounds and expertise. But could you conceptualize what a snapshot of PSEG would look like as just 100 people? That’s just what the PSEG Foundation set out to do when it partnered with the 100 People Foundation.
Using the 100 People Foundation philosophy and methodology, we set out to meet the 100 people who could best represent our company.
