Job Description
Neogen Care is currently growing our non-medical Private Duty home care department and would love to have you join our team of dedicated, professional, and reliable Caregivers. The Caregiver is responsible for the physical care and emotional support of our clients who may no longer be able to take care of themselves due to aging, illness, injury, surgery, or disability.
The ideal candidate must be able to care for our clients and their property with dignity, patience, compassion, and respect. The successful Caregiver encourages clients and always remains empathetic to their needs.
Responsibilities:
* Home assistance ? Provide light housekeeping, run errands, or transportation clients (to doctor appointments, the pharmacy, etc.) if needed. Accompany clients to appointments and provide medication reminders. Prepare meals, purchase food, and provide personal care assistance with daily activities. Personal care services could include toileting, bathing, feeding, and grooming.
* Companionship ? Provide companionship and conversation by stimulating, encouraging,
* and assisting clients.
Requirements:
* 6 months - 1 year experience preferred but not required
* High school diploma or GED
* Criminal Background Check and Drug Screening
* Ability to lift to 25 pounds
* Ability to reach, bend, kneel and stand for (sometimes) an extended time
Preferences:
* Drivers License
* CNAs are encouraged to apply but not required to work as a Caregiver
* First Aid certification
