How will you make an impact?

An entry level position within the Packaging team. Responsibilities include packaging Thermo Fisher Scientific life science products following the appropriate documentation. Ancillary tasks include staging raw materials; and supporting the department wherever assistance is needed. Majority of responsibilities take place within a clean manufacturing environment with PPE including safety glasses and gloves.

What will you do?

* Performs assembly work of a highly repetitive nature
* Capable of operating all specified manual, semi-automated or automated labeling, heat sealing/shrinking, bagging, folding, boxing, lifting or moving equipment according to standard operating procedures.
* Performs preventative maintenance when necessary on manual, semi-automated or automated labeling, heat sealing/shrinking, bagging, folding, boxing, lifting or moving equipment.

How will you get here?

Education

High school diploma or GED required

Experience

* Can work independently on any assembly project
* Knows and follow all job specific document control, product/kit storage and product/kit transfer procedures.
* Performs preventative maintenance when necessary on manual, semi-automated or automated labeling, heat sealing/shrinking, bagging, folding, boxing, lifting or moving equipment.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

* The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
* Operate an assortment of semi-automated and manual filling equipment, including pipettors
* Individual must be able to handle working in an extremely fast paced environment while processing multiple responsibilities simultaneously
