Requisition Summary

Materials Planner/Senior Materials Planner to plan, schedule, and expedite assigned materials or parts to support manufacturing processes, using independent judgment and working under limited supervision.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

* Determines production requirement for assigned materials by reviewing sales or engineering releases, E79B, historic data, exception reports, and other information.
* Expedites order releases to meet production schedules and maintains proper inventory levels.
* Monitors receipt of desired product quality and quantity, taking corrective action as necessary.
* Coordinates planning/expediting activities with other sections, departments, suppliers, identifying and solving problems as necessary.
* Monitors quality, service, and deliveries of suppliers and provides input to Corporate Purchasing group.
* Coordinates cycle count activities for assigned parts.
* Assists in on-going development of the Materials Logistic process and goals.
* Assists in returnable container management.

Qualifications

One (1) to ten (10) years' experience in Materials Planning or related field.
Handles multiple tasks, takes initiative, team player, problem solver, professional and effective communication skills (written and verbal). Excellent interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical skills
B.S. / B.A. degree in appropriate field preferred
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel is strongly preferred.
