Based in our Sidney, Ohio location, you will analyze operations, design workflows and production processes, design simulations and optimization algorithms, reduce inefficiency, and ensure that final products meet the established quality standards.

AS AN INDUSTRIAL & MANUFACTURING SYSTEMS ENGINEER YOU WILL:

* Development of multi-plant simulations and linear programs to optimize operational efficiency

* Development of facility design including layout, operational processes, and Project Planning.

* Devise highly efficient systems that integrate workers, machines, materials and information in the manufacture of discrete products in medium to high volume.

* Determine the level of human and capital assets required for given schedules and product mixes maximizing workflow and floor space utilization.

* Developing and implementing process improvements and technological upgrades.

* Designing control systems to minimize costs and production issues.

* Apply risk management and mitigation principles.

* Preparing material and equipment lists, purchase orders, cost analyses, and estimated production costs.

* Create technical proposals and meet project deadlines.

* Lead and support implementation of lean principles, complex new processes, standard work, and layouts with cutting edge information and technology.

* Perform operational studies of existing operations to determine items such as productivity standards, productivity improvement, operational needs analysis, time studies, and operation changes.

* Designs and implements improvements for the use of machines or specialized tooling, worker training, staffing and scheduling changes.

* Will help design prototypes or modifications to existing product or equipment.

* Assist with the development of operations and capital budgets.

WHO YOU ARE:

You thrive on strong organizational skills including but not limited to the ability to handle multiple demands and assignments in parallel, prioritizing tasks effectively and efficiently. You are a critical thinking, problem-solving and interpersonal savvy individually who defines problems, collects data, and establishes facts in order to draw valid conclusions. You have demonstrated strong communication and presentation skills.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

* Bachelors degree in Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering (or related field) or equivalent combination of education and experience.

* Two (2) years of relevant work experience (co-op or intership experience may be considered)

* Advanced knowledge of production machinery, manufacturing processes, methods and technology, and automation.

* Proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD.

* Strong prioritizing and problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.

* Ability to travel up to 30% of the time.

* Legal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship for this role will not be provided.

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

* Masters in relation to Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering with emphasis on computational methods and operations research.

* Five (5) years of related experience

* Experience with Project Management .

* Proficient in Solid Modeling and 3D Design.

* Strong Analytics & Reporting experience.

* Use of optimization techniques, stochastic movement of material in manufacturing facilities and computational methodology in constraint programming applied to scheduling and resource allocation.

* Experience using regression analysis and forecasting, simulation modeling and analysis.

* Application of mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.

* Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

* Experience in Time Studies, Production Control, Inventory Control, Productivity, and Efficiency improvement techniques.
