In the Server System Validation Engineering Group, we take pride in developing and validating the best-in-class SOCs, Cores, IPs functional low-level tests that power Intel's products, cloud enterprise and data center. As a member of the Intel Validation Engineering Group you'll play an active role in validation and debug to ensure our products meet the highest quality standards before they reach our customer's hands.
* Creates, defines and develops system validation environment and test suites
* Responsible for the development of methodologies, execution of validation plans, and debug of failures
* Requires broad understanding of multiple system areas and requires interfaces with architecture, design, and pre-silicon validation teams in improving post-silicon test content
* Provides feedback for future on-die debug features
Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications:
The candidate must have a Bachelors degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent and 4+ years of experience -OR- a Master's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent and 3+ years of experience in:
* Microprocessor/System validation
* CPU micro-architecture
* Debug skills and willingness to drive resolution of critical issues
* Good programming skills in C/C++/Python for content development and scripting
* Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with both technical and non- technical audiences
Preferred Qualifications:
* CPU core, power management, reset, memory and/or PCIe
* Good understanding in power management IA Core & package states, system power states, dynamic voltage-frequency scaling features, clock and power gating, PCIe device power states including link power management of PCIe, DDR4, storage devices, network devices and BIOS
* Good understanding with DFd, JTAG and debug hooks into platform/SOC/IP
* Logic or protocol analyzer equipment
* Pre-silicon design/Validation knowledge
* Knowledge of Verilog/VHDL and EDA design tools and pre-silicon validation methodology
