Department Summary
The Gas Tools and Work Methods General Technical Analyst will work closely with and support all of Gas Operations The duties of the Tools and Work Methods Analyst will involve the following areas: Tools support (capital and small tools), in-services, crew visits and subject matter expert (SME) support. Tools support consists of prioritizing orders, purchasing, communicating status, delivering and providing any tools support to the field. In-service support will consist of developing and presenting initial and refresher in-service orientations. Crew visits consist of observing Gas work while providing coaching and employee feedback. SME support may include Field Leader support, Gas and Work Methods procedure revisions, or serving on Root Cause Analysis (RCA) studies.
Responsibilities
This position will be filled according to work experience, skills and qualifications. Preferred job location is the central region, but support will be statewide. To fill the role of the Gas Tools and Work Methods Analyst, the individual needs five to ten years of experience, or equivalent, in the Gas area. The individual should be a leader with strong organizational skills, analytical, negotiating and written/oral communication skills. Frequent travel throughout the company's service areas is required. Individual should be a self-starter that can manage multiple work assignments.

Essential Functions
General technical analysis supports the planning, technical analysis, general management, negotiations, transactions, customer services and auditing of a wide variety of technical and business functions and technical processes of specific operating and support areas throughout the company. Duties will fluctuate between projects, departments and offices. Lead and/or assist with technical support for the plans, reports, impacts, schedules, estimates, data collection, observation, and field investigation. Provide technical, non-engineering support services with accuracy, on time and under budget. Use computer assisted applications software and equipment to prepare technical support documents. Understand and follow company established standard procedures for file structure and standard procedures for projects. Become familiar with business and technical plans and related material for each project and be able to utilize the information appropriately. Assists in client contact and communication. Utilize effective communication skills to answer inquiries from coworkers, clients, or the public. Public involvement may include producing reports, graphics, presentations, and other visual material as well as occasional speaking or meeting with stakeholders. Attend internal and external meetings. Provide technical support services in a legal and ethical manner.
Hours and Travel
This position requires the individual work 40-50 hours per week with time spent in the office, specific field locations, and visits to vendors locations.
