We are looking for an experienced HR Manager to support, on a temporary basis, the Evansville Manufacturing and Quality operations. This temporary position will be full time and last between 6-7 months.

The position is viewed as a strong business partner, working with the leadership team to enhance culture, employee attraction, retention and recruitment, employee engagement, compliance and organizational development. Provides leadership in the area of career development, succession planning and career coaching. Leads the administration of policies and programs covering all aspects of human resources. A qualified candidate will earn $35 - $45 an hour

Job Responsibilities

* Partners to develop and champion business strategies, while providing HR insights and solutions to business challenges.

* Provides strategic and tactical advice to plant management regarding employee relations issues and maintaining a union free environment.

* Counsel managers and supervisors on HR policies, procedures, compensation and benefit programs, disciplinary actions and laws to ensure consistent treatment of all employees.

* Partnership with site staff on appropriate workforce planning to ensure proper balance of resources and usage of contingent workers.

* Manage the staffing process to ensure positions are filled in a timely manner with high quality candidates. This includes discussing staffing needs with line managers, screening applicants and participating in the interview process

* Handles all complaints in a timely and effective manner, assures responsiveness to employee concerns.

* Provides site leadership for learning and development initiatives, ensuring site is in alignment with corporate and regional efforts.

* Partners with Corporate and regional business leaders and HR COE's and leaders.

* Manages plant benefits, compensation and payroll related processes.

* Develops and manages talent review plan in conjunction with performance management process, and lead talent management efforts.

* Ensures that state and federal employment regulations are not violated and plant remains current on revisions and new law or company policy. Educates all team members of changes to law and policies

* Manages and develops direct reports.

Job Qualifications

* 3 - 5 years of experience in a Plant Human Resources role.

* Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management or related field.

* HR certifications or advanced education preferred.

* Prior work experience in a Manufacturing and/or Distribution environment.

* People management experience preferred.

* Experience with strategy and partnerships on training programs to build technical talent within a manufacturing/distribution organization.

* Excellent oral and written communication skills.

* Organizational/time management skills.

* Ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels of the organization.

* Ability to work for long periods of time, under pressure, to produce results. Flexibility in a schedule is sometimes needed.

* Strong attention to detail.

* Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality and trust.

* Microsoft Office and other HR systems knowledge.

* Knowledge of state and federal labor laws.
