WHAT YOU'LL DO
As the temporary Marketing Manager, your role will have two phases:
Phase 1: You will focus your time on driving and accelerating the global, local and practice area marketing program for a recently launched flagship business book. This will include strategizing, coordinating, and at times executing the full suite of internal and external marketing activities, working collaboratively with marketing teams around the world.
Phase 2: You will balance pushing the marketing of the Book, with the role of driving and helping execute the marketing agenda for the Global Advantage Practice Area across the full suite of external and internal marketing and communication activities and channels. You collaborate closely with our PAL, GPMD, Senior Marketing Coordinator, and other members of the PA M&O team. Youll also work closely with the PA leadership team and broader author groups, as well as the global and local marketing teams. You will manage the Global Advantage Senior Marketing Coordinator.
*Temporary role (Feb 2021-Dec 2021) 40 hours/week*
Key responsibilities include, in order of share of your time:
Book Marketing Role:
* Manage the portfolio of marketing activities driving the ongoing amplification of the business book in 2021 including both internal and external.
* Working collaboratively with global marketing, local marketing and PA marketing to support and where needed execute marcom activities across the marketing matrix (PR, communications, social media, endorsements, client communications etc)
Practice Area Marketing Role:
* Drive development and promotion of thought leadership publications and commercial content across internal and external channels
* Plan and execute comprehensive, multi-channel marketing campaigns around the PAs priority topics, in tight collaboration with the Senior Marketing Coordinator
* Reinforce traditional and social media presence for the PAs priority topics and experts in top tier media outlets, in partnership with BCG public relations teams
* Manage the SATT portfolio across the GA topics, including those that we participate in, those that we co-sponsors and those that we own outright. This may include managing invitations lists and response tracking, logistical oversight, e-mail and onsite communications, SteerCo meetings, content curation, speaker management, and performance metrics (or some combination)
* Manage Marketing budget: Track progress against allocated budgets, re-allocate if needed, and accrue for any necessary costs at year-end
* Serve as line manager for Senior Marketing Coordinator. Co-Lead year-end feedback process for said employee.
* Establish and manage relationships and day-to-day activities with internal and external marketing and communications partners including BCGs global marketing team, local marketing managers, media relations teams, PR agencies, designers, external writers, etc.
* Prepare materials on GA marketing efforts for internal leadership meetings as appropriate
* Advise on internal communications to ensure alignment with best practices and external messaging

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)
* Education and work experience: BA / Masters preferred, at least 8-10 years experience
* Content marketing experience strongly preferred; professional services experience helpful
* Detail-oriented with the ability to manage projects from inception through execution
* Fluent, polished command of English language (verbal & written)
* Experience working in virtual and/or intercultural teams highly desired given team locations
* Software skills: Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint proficiency.
YOU'LL WORK WITH
Youll be part of the Global Advantage PA Marketing team, consisting of the Marketing Manager (a.k.a. You), a Marketing Senior Coordinator (Sydney). You will have direct engagement with the PAL, GPMD as well as the two PA assistant managers. Your team sits within the Global Advantage PA Management and Operations team under the leadership of the Global Practice Management Director.
You will work very closely and collaboratively with the GA leadership team, your colleagues in various other PA marketing teams, as well as colleagues in global, regional, and local marketing teams.
