We are looking for a dynamic leader with excellent communication skills and experience leading a high potential team, with a background in technology, business intelligence, and strong logic and problem solving. This manager's responsibility is centered on growing Analytics capabilities and emerging technologies for the Operations Loss Control team.

Job Responsibilities

Manage and develop a team of data analysts responsible for analyzing business and market loss trends and increase efficiency within the Ally Insurance Operations Business Unit, primarily the Itasca Service Center. Monthly loss control reporting and project status updates to senior leadership. Monthly dealer loss analytics for Operations Analyst team decisions. Coordination with Actuarial team for quarterly dealer rate modification recommendations. Complete redesign of claim adjudication rules within policy and claim system to perform with minimal leakage and optimal efficiency. Develop a picture of where the company stands in the industry, where we can improve and where we can reduce costs. Participation in data and design reviews and testing for all Insurance systems. Work closely with our resident subject matter experts in the data management - configuration operations teams. Participation in quarterly Insurance Analytics Working Group Meetings, as well as our Annual Big Data Competition. Prioritization of ad hoc reporting requests. Research and create business plan for new technologies and tools for data exploration and visualization as needed.

Qualifications

5+ Years of experience Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Information Science or similar background preferred

Clear understanding of the business use around downstream data Leadership experience is a must Ability to work across cultures and functions Experience managing - growing high potential talent Strong written and oral communication skills, as well as ability to manage large meetings Strong Microsoft Access, Excel, and Power Point skills Strong organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills Proficiency in Oracle SQL, Cognos, Tableau, and other reporting - analysis tools Technical expertise in data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing large datasets
