The Opportunity

In this position, you will support data collection, reporting and analytics for Ally Supply Chain Operations Team. These activities will involve the monitoring of existing processes, daily, weekly and monthly report generation and ad-hoc reporting activities.

Assists the Reporting and Analytics Manager and troubleshoots identified issues. Analyzes data and recommends improvements to existing data collection and reporting processes. Leverage strong Supply Chain discernment to proactively forecast, build, and deliver data in a significant way to Supply Chain leadership and Category Managers. Supports and closes audit related issues. Ability to initiate and execute small to medium scale projects. Handles relationships with internal customers of reports and suppliers of data.

The Work Itself

* Responsible for the collection, reporting, and analytics of Ally Supply Chain data, spanning multiple sources including Contracting, Sourcing, Supplier Risk, Invoicing & Payments, Travel & Entertainment, and Contingent Workforce platforms.
* Participate in project management activities, program development efforts, process improvement initiatives, and compliance management efforts intended to facilitate achievement of objectives
* Employs sophisticated finance and forecasting analytics
* Regularly interacts with business partners and provides insight on trends; predict Sourcing and Supply Chain needs, fostering proactive reporting and analytics intended to support business requirements
* Analyzes issues and uses judgment to make decisions
* Applies knowledge of company policies and Supply Chain standard practices to identify problems and recommend solutions through robust and thorough data analysis
* Escalates non-standard problems or issues

The Skills You Bring

* 3+ years of Supply Chain and/or Procurement related experience
* Coupa experience preferred
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required
* Strong experience with Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint
* Advanced Microsoft Access Skills (Queries / Forms / VBA)
* Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills (Pivots / formulas / VBA)
* Intermediate Microsoft Power BI Skills
* Strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to communicate effectively across business levels (both vertically and horizontally)
* Ability to support multiple assignments and partners, prioritize workload for self, and coordinate with teammates to meet deadlines.
* Ability to organize data and exercise effective problem-solving skills
* Ability to build strong relationships with internal business partners and experience working with multiple business partners in a collaborative and team-oriented manner
* Comfortable working in an evolving and dynamic environment
* Flexible and can work independently and in a team environment
* Detailed, energetic, motivated, and willing to take action
