Position summary:
Responsible for identifying and handling the Strategic Development for Oncology and Infectious Disease programs within the Strategic Development team with the objective to drive cross-functional communication and engagement so as to deliver prioritized projects/programs. This role is based out of Cepheids HQ in Sunnyvale, CA and will be onsite once it is safe to return to site.
Strategic Development Portfolio Management:
New process development and management:
Partner with team to build processes and standard work to be used.
Engage key partners on process development and implementation:
Engage with Bus Development, Legal, R&D, and innovation teams to define, implement, and innovate process
Drive implementation and review of action plans on a portfolio level (in ID and Oncology).
Management of individual Strategic development Projects:
Lead the cross-functional coordination of teams to ensure alignment and proper resourcing and prioritization of Strategic development projects.
Lead and execute on multiple Strategic development projects in parallel.
Lead analysis of opportunities, Including early conceptualization processes
Build frameworks for identification, evaluation and prioritization
Establish relationships and lead communications with external parties under evaluation through pilot projects
Define, measure and communicate project progress to leadership functions:
Identify, prevent and lead risks; Supervise and ensure on time delivery of project results; Lead communication with external and internal partners
Process & Organization development
Development and continuous improvement on standard methodologies for project execution and process development for Strategic Development roadmap.
Define, refine, and lead touch points to established business processes
Act as a resource and mentor to less experienced colleagues
The role is encouraged to provide strong leadership in a matrix environment to promote standard methodologies in leading interrelated projects and programs to ensure successful delivery.

Minimum requirements:
Education and Experience (in years):
* Bachelors degree in field with 5+ years of related work experience OR
* Masters degree in field, as example in Science, Engineering and/or Business Administration; with 3+ years of related work experience OR
* Doctoral degree in field, as example in Science, Engineering and/or Business Administration; with 0-2 years of related work experience.
