Early Career Development Programs Training Specialist

Job Description

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Develop strong training plans for the site internship programs, apprenticeship programs, and other early career development programs
* Assist leaders with the structure standardization of the site internships programs, apprenticeship programs, and other early career development programs
* Coordinate with various cross-functional leaders, local universities, and the state to ensure effective progress with the early career development programs
* Research, apply, and integrate talent development best practices
* Utilize the ADDIE process for training course development, as needed
* Identify training needs by evaluating strengths and weaknesses and communicate such to team
* Apply a project management approach to training programs management
* Facilitate classroom, virtual, and workshop-based training sessions on various topics, such as new hire orientation, products, manufacturing process, leadership development, continuous improvement, quality, computers, communication, etc.
* Coach and train associates in various settings: 1-on-1, large group, small group, etc.
* Integrate, apply, and suggest creative integration approaches for the following training principles and learning theories
* Blended Learning, Bruners Spiral Curriculum, Blooms Taxonomy, Discovery Learning, Kirkpatricks Training Evaluation Model, Adult Learning Principles
* Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for such early career development programs
* Assess training effectiveness to ensure incorporation of taught skills and techniques into employees work behavior
* Achieve inclining numbers on metric of influence assigned, per project
* Achieve high training satisfaction ratings from associates on programs
* Collaborate with support teams and various leaders
* Regularly report training measurements and program progress to leadership team
* Coach associates for behavior and process changes via the BEARS model
* Track training and program activities and sessions to maintain accurate records
* Approach interactions with high levels of empathy and understanding
* Support and reinforce a culture of inclusion, advancement, and learning
* Maintain coachability and openness to negative feedback
* Stay well-informed of the new trends and tools in employee development
* Adapt effectively to quickly changing priorities, as outlined
* Coordinate program communications, schedules, materials, and logistics (e.g., invites, WebEx meeting info, prep calls, etc.)

TRAINING RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Complete all assigned and required training satisfactorily and on time
* Regularly read materials and complete training sessions of choice related to talent development, training, learning, leadership development, manufacturing, quality, community engagement, psychology, cognitive development, etc. from reputable sources for continued learning
* Complete required continuous training and education

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education and Experience (in years):

* Bachelors degree
* 3+ years of experience in talent and/or training development
* 2+ years of experience in facilitation
* Familiarity with different training approaches

Knowledge and skills:

* Familiarity with traditional and modern talent development approaches
* Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods, tools and techniques
* Strong organizational skills
* Strong project management skills
* Ability to present complex information to a variety of audiences
* Ability to work and communicate with people at all levels from assemblers to engineers to management
* Detail-oriented
* Strong MS Office, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel skills
* Excellent verbal communication skills
* Excellent written communication skills
* Strong Presentation skills
* Creativity
* Problem solver with the ability to consider business impacts when developing alternatives
* Experience in compiling data to support metrics analyzing current process
* Able to manage multiple ongoing projects and engagements, while being flexible to shifting priorities

* Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with tact, diplomacy and discretion
* Ability to interact effectively in a cross-functional team environment

Physical requirements/abilities:

* Stand for several hours

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

* Bachelors degree in education, business, instructional design, communication, or design
* Proven experience in talent development projects
* Extensive knowledge of the ADDIE process
* Extensive knowledge of instructional design theory and learning principles
* Strong decision-making skills
* Strong project management experience
* Sound event management experience
* Ability to conduct cost-benefit analysis and calculate training ROI
* Familiarity with talent management and succession planning
* Proven ability to master the full training cycle
