Job Overview

This position performs duties related to the disassembly, repair, and assembly of Wind Turbine Gearbox technology in the greater than 1 MW class range (greater than 4 gearbox technologies).

Job Duties & Responsibilities

Under general supervision:
Performs semi-skilled diversified light and heavy assembly of mechanical parts and components for several specific wind turbine gearbox technology units
Uses a variety of light and heavy hand and power tools, solvents, paints, and metalworking equipment
Assembles and runs the single technology, assembled gearbox unit on the test stand with little guidance
Works from simple drawings, blueprints, or sketches
Travels to various sites to support maintenance and repair activities as required
Performs other job-related duties as assigned
