This position is associated with the sale of Intels NAND memory and storage business to SK hynix (You can read more about the transaction in the press release - https://newsroom.intel.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/11/2020/10/nand-memory-news-q-a.pdf). The transaction will enhance the resources and potential of the business storage solutions, including client and enterprise SSDs, in the rapidly growing NAND Flash space amid the era of big data.

This is an exciting time to be at Intel come join our NAND Design, Technology, and Manufacturing (NAND-DTM) as a senior capital manager and work on one of the most advanced 3DNAND and SSD technology portfolios in the world. As the global leader in the semiconductor industry, Intel possesses many industry-leading SSD technologies including the most capable Quadruple Level Cell (QLC) NAND Flash products. As a senior capital manager, you will be part of a world-class team that will transition to lead the SSD business at SK hynix.

This position aligns to Phase 2 of the transaction, which includes NAND technology and component development along with fab operations. Employees aligned to Phase 2 will continue to be employed by Intel and will continue to develop NAND technology and components and manufacture NAND wafers at the fab. Phase 2 of the transaction is expected to close in March 2025, at which time employees aligned to this phase of the transaction will transition employment to SK hynix.

The candidate would be responsible for the integration of the division's strategic capacity plans into an executable strategy for manufacturing. This role will work across multiple organizations and disciplines to optimize the capital required to enable the near term and long-term NAND ramps within affordability goals, working on the technology from TD phase through HVM. It requires technical knowledge in capacity modeling, equipment configurations, and process technology requirements to optimize capital strategies. The role includes the management of the tooling forecasts to our commercial counterparts, the management of the internal and external reuse opportunities, and the business processes to procure capital to execute the ramp plans. Regular updates will be required to executives in the organization on progress against commitments and in influencing the strategic investments for the division.

Responsibilities of the role include:

* Managing and leading the business process for capital authorizations and budgeting
* Ensuring tactical capital decision processes and equipment selection reviews are congruent with strategic equipment requirements
* Procurement support from capital authorization through budget release and PR approval
* Engaging with the pathfinding team on forward tooling selections and driving compatibility and fungibility on legacy technologies
* Ensuring the equipment assets are properly maintained in the system of record
* Partnering with the commercial procurement team on tooling forecasts with vendors and the associated strategies for best cost of ownership for NAND DTM
* Identifying potential equipment reuse opportunities from internal and external sources and developing strategies to optimize capital efficiency for NAND DTM
* Partner with industrial engineering (IE) counterparts in the high volume manufacturing, technology development, and central roles in capital studies to influence the optimal ramp strategies.
* Managing interdependencies and integration among multiple projects, teams, and stakeholders
* Handling cross-organizational programs of broad scope and complexity
* Ratifying programs and proposed strategies presented by the high volume manufacturing facilities and Central IE in support of business operations to meet strategic goals and metrics
* Exercising judgment and discretion to develop solutions, remove obstacles, and redefine approaches
* Assessing risks to timely and efficient achievement of program goals / metrics and supporting Central IE Staff to identify and implement remediation options
* Ensuring compliance with quality standards and budget constraints

Qualifications

The below minimum qualifications must be met to be considered for this position

Minimum Qualifications:

* Minimum 10+ years of experience in fab capital modeling, LRP, and/or MOR analysis.

* Bachelor's degree or higher education in Industrial Engineering or related technical field.
