We are seeking a Vice President of Central Planning & Analysis. The candidate must be able to manage and deliver monthly, quarterly, annual & ad hoc requests and quickly define views that prompt decisions by Senior Management. The role demands superior organizational skills, analytical skills, presentation skills, technical abilities and flexibility. The candidate should have extensive experience in providing monthly financial analysis that highlights key drivers and dependencies impacting results and the overall health of the organization.
Successful candidates should have about 10+ years experience in financial analytics. The candidate should have excellent communication and organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and enjoy handling complexity. Key Responsibilities
* Govern the processes for submitting annual multi-year budgets and forecasts and report total financial performance against key target metrics on a monthly basis
* Manage the preparation, consolidation, review and analysis of a number of key financial activities including but not limited to: budget, Capital Stress Testing CCAR and mid-year forecast, financial updates for the Senior Management, quarterly earnings, Net Interest Income (NII) and Net Interest Margin (NIM) analytics and analyzing business performance drivers
* Create financial reports and meet with finance team to clearly summarize financial trends and provide insight to senior management
* Execute the above processes with an emphasis on accuracy and timeliness of meeting deliverables on prescribed timetables / calendars
* Advise on directional strategy and provide guidance on significant business/product decisions
* Analyze line of business (LOB) business models, earnings sensitivities, and strategic initiatives to enable better understanding of individual LOB financial results
* Lead additional one-off and repeatable analyses as required by senior management
* Communicate and coordinate effectively with the LOBs and corporate functions areas (e.g. External Reporting, Investor Relations,
* Establish and maintain business relationships with internal and external stakeholders
* Support ad hoc projects as necessary
Qualifications:
* 10+ years experience specific to finance / planning role in consumer banking or financial services
* Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field. MBA a plus.
* Professional experience in handling large amount of data, analyzing P&L and balance sheet drivers
* Exceptional analytical, problem solving, critical thinking and project management skills with a proven track record of execution against deliverables
* Strong organizational skills, including good judgment and decision making capabilities
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate collaboration across teams
* Experience leading functional teams and driving Financial Planning and Analysis
* Ability to influence and advise senior stakeholders
* Demonstrated leadership and project management skills
* Hyperion Essbase, Alteryx, Xceptor, and Tableau experience preferred
