Position Overview:
The Resolution Planning and Capital Management Director will report to the VP of Capital at Freddie Mac and will be largely responsible for coordinating the teams efforts in meeting the FHFAs objectives and requirements regarding resolution planning. The role will require a significant coordination with Business/legal entity/function heads to work on all aspects of Freddies Resolution plan, and the position will be responsible for driving the strategy and structure of the Resolution plan including both public and confidential summaries. This is an exciting opportunity as resolution planning is new within the GSE space and framework! In addition, this role will collaborate closely with other areas within capital in order to gauge capital management from both a going and gone perspective.
**This position can be performed currently from a remote location in the U.S. but will require presence in a Freddie Mac office in the future.***
Our Impact:
The Capital Planning division is responsible for the planning, forecasting, and optimization of capital. The team focuses on the oversight of all capital management, capital planning and elements related to risk appetite and capital contingency, as well as strategic and policy initiatives. Resolution Planning is a new addition within the capital team and will offer new opportunities across all areas. In addition to driving something new, the position will also help and design the designation of Freddies Critical Operations, Core Business Lines in addition to help address resolvability questions and solutions. In this regard, the role will lead strategic projects and support a wide range of analytical work that will help decide and support Freddies strategies including capital planning and capabilities within the stress testing framework.
Your Impact:
* Partner with Business CFOs, senior leadership within Legal, Regulatory Affairs, Finance, Enterprise Risk, Communications, as well as other departments to lead the design and strategy of Recovery and Resolution Plans
* Design and execute a process to ensure alignment with key partners across public and confidential sectors including with the President, CFO, CRO, among others
* Lead the overall build-up and governance process of all regulatory materials supporting Freddie Macs resolution plan, ensuring minimal potential disruption to the US housing and finance markets
* Focus on certain key capital and liquidity measures and metrics
Qualifications:
* 10-12+ years of related professional/industry experience previous banking experience in the RRP space strongly preferred
* Prior work experience in areas related to analytics, management or banking with top tier firm
* Ability to influence and build strong relationships across different areas
* Strong business analysis competency and abstract problem-solving capabilities
* Excellent excel and analytical skills to drive results resolution planning is a very dynamic and complex space that will entail deep dives across all business areas
* Ability to deliver positive change in complex organizations with a high-level engagement and time management skills
* An undergraduate degree is required. Advanced degrees (MBAs, Masters, strong preferred)
