Become a Resiliency Planner at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, youll work closely with the Senior Advisor for Resiliency Planning and develop, lead, manage, and implement integrated and cross functional continuity and emergency response planning at a large electric utility. A day in the life - Get ready to think big, work smart and shine bright!

* Form and lead planning teams that bring together all critical company functions including electric operations, generation, IT, finance, facilities, communications, external relations, and security.
* Develop, write, implement, and manage resiliency planning efforts and plans, to include but not limited to (corporate emergency response plans, business continuity plans, IT Disaster Recovery Plans etc.).
* Integrate plans where appropriate internally and externally with public sector planning efforts (State and Local Response Plans etc).
* Evaluate and make recommendations to leadership on proposed changes in the planning process, policy, and procedures.
* Identify and manage resolution of complex issues, often with high visibility and tight turn arounds.
* Synthesize complex information into logical steps for decision making purposes; communicate information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
* Facilitate workshops and cross functional teams of SCE employees and public sector officials to address issues and solve problems related to internal response operations.
* Establish planning and communications protocols between SCE and Public sector Emergency Operations Centers at the City, County, and State level.
* Work with others across SCE and within Business Resiliency to streamline and automate the planning process with the goal of minimizing impacts across the company.

Qualifications
The Essentials

* Seven years of combined experience working in the planning field (i.e. business resiliency/continuity and/or emergency management/response).
* One year of experience developing, implementing, and managing diverse planning efforts or complex projects across multiple business lines or government jurisdictions (State, Federal or City/County level).
* One year of Experience leading cross functional teams in building consensus.

The Preferred

* Bachelors Degree or higher in Planning or similar discipline such as Business.
* Certified Emergency Manager.
* Three years of experience interacting with senior and executive level managers.
* Experience in analyzing complex combinations of hazards and developing executable plans to mitigate them.
