How you'll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities)
* The Delta Flight Products (DFP) Regional Sales Manager is responsible for the completion of any/all activities necessary for the sale DFPs line of products and services; coordination of work estimates, delivery of proposals and presentations; negotiation of contracts; analysis of markets and the growth/promotion of the DFP brand
* Perform the sales and business development process for the DFP products and services, from the identification of leads through to contracting of projects, to aid in searching out revenue opportunities, marketing vehicles and promotions that could drive top-line revenue
* Develop presentation materials and descriptive artifacts and participate in industry Trade Shows and/or other events to promote the DFP brand both internally and externally, ensuring consistency continuity with the Delta and Delta TechOps brands
* Develop sales plans, run sales campaigns and leverage the global reach of Delta to grow the external customer base of DFP beyond Delta
* Complete the bid & proposal process for new opportunities: Document customer requirements and work statements, coordinate and collect labor and material cost and lead time estimates and produce proposals for commercial offers for DFPs products and services
* Perform interiors and in-flight entertainment market analysis to determine competitive landscape and potential opportunities for DFP growth
* Coordinate and negotiate contractual agreements with customers
* Complete timely status updates on proposals for communication for the scheduled Offer Status and Sales Staff Meetings
* Ensure newly contracted work is planned and handoffs are efficiently managed
* Extensive air travel is required, and at times may include minimum notice, evenings and/or weekends
* Other responsibilities as required
What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
* Bachelors degree in business, marketing, or engineering and/or 8+ years of experience in a sales or business development role
* Must have a basic understanding of aircraft interior design and certification requirements, and understand fabrication methods, shop practices and the supply base for products and services sold by DFP
* Must be a great leader, have strong analytical skills and be an effective deal architect
* Must be persuasive and an effective negotiator, experienced completing contracts and business agreements
* Must have a wide industry network and have excellent communication and presentation skills
* Must be self-starting, detail-oriented and an effective planner and project manager
* Must demonstrate outstanding computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
* Must be a disciple of continuous improvement
* Must be able to travel both domestically and internationally (up to 75%)

* Knowledge of aircraft interiors, composites and entertainment systems
* Experience in purchasing, finance or supply chain
* Experience in technical sales, program management or supply chain management
* MBA or Masters degree preferred
