Purpose:

Reporting to the Senior Financial Analyst we ask that you have sound knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Primary responsibilities include administration and reporting of Conagras Accounting Software (Trintech Cadency Certification and Close) for the entire Finance Organization. Use of a strong knowledge of maintaining SOX controls is key. You will use knowledge of Account Reconciliations and Fiscal Close policies to help facilitate complete fiscal closes. The role also includes being a liaison with the IT department on any projects that have Cadency or CCG touch points, related processes, and testing and system design. You will communicate frequently with personnel at all levels within the CCG and the operating groups. The consistency, accuracy, and timeliness of this communication are vital and must clearly convey all outstanding issues.

Accountabilities

* Administer the Accounting Software Tool; including loading of subledger balances, foreign currency rates, and new tasks; assign unassigned accounts to reconciliations and verification of PKIDs for new reconciliations.
* Provide security access for users per control guidelines and working IT SAR change request for the Cadency software.
* Cadency GL audits including journal entry audits, audits, quality assurance audits, data integrity checks and validation of balances loaded in the tool to our actual balances in our ERP system.
* Ensure the completeness and timeliness of Conagras fiscal close by tracking and communicating with end-users (preparers and reviewers) period-end close activities to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks to maintain this key SOX Control.
* Maintain the backend reports for Cadency GL and query the tables to create needed control and metrics reports.
* Create and maintain monthly accounting schedules as support for the balance sheet account reconciliations and financial audits.
* Use your knowledge of the Accounting Software and account reconciliations to assist end users with problems they may have with their balance sheet account reconciliations.
* Respond to information requests from CCG customers and provide training to end users as necessary.
* Support Accounting Software tool upgrades and implementations.
* As necessary, perform general accounting activities in the SAP general ledger, which includes preparing and uploading journal entries, business warehouse reporting and use of Cadency GL software.
* Exercise judgment in financial, operational, or transactional analysis to identify and help resolve issues.
* Prioritize multiple activities simultaneously.
* Evaluate effectiveness of processes, procedures, and control environment and develop improvements as needed.
* Document processes (e.g. desk procedures) and recommend process improvements.
* Manage situations that may materially affect the companys overall financial condition.
* Demonstrate ability to effectively work in a team environment both within and outside of assigned area of responsibility. Cross-train in other areas of the department and the CCG is critical.

Latitude and Dimensions

This position administers Trintech's Cadency software, which provides for key accounting controls for the Finance Organization. This position will have regular access to confidential financial data. Minimal domestic or international travel may be required.

Position Qualifications

* Bachelors degree in accounting or equivalent experience required
* CPA, CMA certification and/or advanced degree a plus
* 1+ years of business experience in public accounting, corporate accounting, financial accounting, Cost Accounting, etc.
* Ability to research and reconcile multiple accounts with some supervision
* Ability to become a functional expert in multiple softwares
* SAP (and its reporting tools) experience is a plus
* Control Software experience is a plus
* Database experience a strong plus
