Job Description
As part of the Analytics & Insights Team you will enable our partners to make decision with connected data solutions and establish metrics that drive business outcomes. You will design, build, and maintain data-centric solutions that provide actionable business insights and deepen analytic capabilities to support NAOU (North America Operating Unit). You will partner with our Insights & Solutions teams and apply your technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including requirements gathering, application development, definition, design, and maintenance. You will be responsible for taking requirements, analyzing business processes, and developing applications. What Youll Do for Us
* You will be a part of the Platform Service Data and Analytics (DnA) NAOU Analytics and Insights team.
* Partner across the team to understand business requirements, decision architecture use cases, current challenges, business questions, processes, and related data.
* Work with Insights & Solutions team to understand business data and related processes.
* Understand the data required to build analytical foundations like data aggregators, metrics, and cubes.
* Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements.
* Build robust, reusable, shareable data containers.
* Design and build interactive visualizations with multi-dimensional data sets.
* Build analytics tools that utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insights into key metrics.
* Implement rules & automate data cleansing, mapping, transformation, logging, and exception handling.
* Establish and document standards, guidelines, and best practices for teams utilizing the solutions.
* Own maintenance of BI application, answer support ticket related requests, provide user access
Qualifications & Requirements
* Experience (4 years +) in data engineering/analytics solution development bachelors degree in quantitative field
* At least 2 years of development experience in ETL/ELT, SQL, Power BI and other Visualization Tools
* Experience in MS SQL to write complex, highly optimized queries across large volumes of data, database design, data warehouse design, query performance tuning and writing stored procedures
* Knowledge and experience with Cloud based projects in DevOps infrastructure
* Experience in working in Agile teams, and working independently with Business stakeholders providing solutions and regular updates
* Knowledge of data models, ETL and data warehouse processes
* Experience in SSAS module in designing and building DW, tabular, multidimensional cubes
* Experience in creating T-SQL Packages, Procedures, Functions, Triggers, Views and Exception handling for retrieving, manipulating, checking, and migrating complex data sets will be useful
* Azure SQL, ADL, ADF, Azure analysis services experience a plus
* Able to solve complex problems and take a new perspective on existing solutions
* Good written and verbal communication skills
* Great teammate with ability to work cross-functionally in resolving complex issues
