Job Description:
In this position, you will be responsible for the management of all processes, procedures and controls relevant to the outbound shipping operations group made up of Caterpillar and contract service partners. This includes both domestic and international shipments of prime product and miscellaneous orders to our dealer network and direct customer sites.
Job Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Manage shipping related communications with dealers via DOCS
Ownership of the merge in transit process for Large Track Type Dozers
Monitor performance of third party logistics services provider and ensure adherence to CAT E. Peoria safety policies, procedures, and 5S expectations
Take any necessary action on non-conformance of compliance and shipments
Ownership of multiple SOX and Internal Controls
Collaborate with a cross-functional group including global account coordinators, master scheduler, outbound transportation, trade lane, operations, S&OP coordinators and supplying facilities in order to maintain OPD compliance
Manage the creation of documents including but not limited to Bills of Lading, packing lists, daily/monthly shipping goals & reporting and track & trace
Maintenance and continuous improvement of shipping floor policies and standard work
Monthly review & approval of contract service invoices
Inventory management of shipping related supplies
Basic Qualifications:
* Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in Supply Chain, Logistics or Transportation
* In lieu of a degree, 3+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Logistics or Transportation

* Knowledge and understanding of Lean Built In Quality and problem solving principles & 5S
* Excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills
* Able to work independently with minimal direction
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to drive fact based decision making
* Thorough understanding of company policies and procedures
* Solid logistics, transportation, and manufacturing knowledge
* Track Type Dozer product knowledge desired
* APICS CPIM or CSCP National Certification desired
* Working understanding and/or experience with SAP-Mach I and Salesforce
* Capable of working and communicating with a variety of company (all levels) and dealer personnel
