HPC Software Engineer, Mid

The Challenge:

Are you excited at the prospect of solving high-priority data analytic challenges? Are you looking to use High Performance Computing (HPC) environments to solve these problems? As a software engineer, you will develop and maintain software components that transform and replace national security analytic processes found on commodity cloud systems onto HPC clusters. Were looking for people to join a team where you will explore the application of HPC systems in both data-at-rest and streaming data scenarios.

This role is more than just coding. We need a software engineer who will use their passion to learn new tools and techniques, identify and implement system improvements, and mentor teammates. Using sound software engineering principles, youll work with other software engineers and data scientists in an Agile environment to use machine learning, graph analytics, and other analytic techniques on both streaming and large data sets. You'll provide training, consulting support, or implementation guidance to other developers. As a technical leader, youll identify new opportunities to use data analytic solutions to help your customers meet their toughest challenges. You Have:

-2+ years of experience in software engineering roles

-Experience with developing in a UNIX environment

-Experience with container technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes

-Experience with Infrastructure as Code and other development tools, including Ansible, Puppet, Salt, Git, and Jenkins

-Experience with cloud-based technologies, including GPFS and HDFS

-Knowledge of Java, Python, Ruby, or Perl

-TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph required

-BS degree or 4+ years of experience with software engineering roles in lieu of a degree

Nice If You Have:

-Experience with C++

-Experience with using Atlassian Tool Suite

-Experience with Agile Scrum

-Knowledge of HPC general concepts

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
