Job Description

Technical Writer, Junior

Key Role:

Apply consulting and technical expertise and full industry knowledge to develop innovative solutions to complex problems. Engage with multiple functional groups to prepare and maintain documentation pertaining to all aspects of software and systems engineering, systems operations, testing, and user documentation. Translate business specifications into user documentation. Plan, write, and maintain systems and user support documentation efforts and policy document frameworks and consolidate technical input and analyses to create reports.

Basic Qualifications:

* Experience with producing technical documentation and document templates utilizing word processing tools, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Visio
* Experience in working with document standards for technical documents as a CONOP and software requirements specification
* Experience with editing documents for document structure and logic flow, and writing for non-technical audiences
* Ability to obtain a security clearance
* BA or BS degree or 4+ years of experience with producing or editing technical documents for all aspects of software and systems engineering in lieu of a degree

Additional Qualifications:

* Experience in collaborating with web developers to accomplish web publishing
* Experience with interpreting engineering and maintenance drawings
