The Boeing Company is seeking a C-17 Vertical Lift Procurement Agent (Level 1) in Seal Beach, CA for Boeing Global Services - Government (BGS-G). This position supports sourcing strategies, price and contract negotiation and documenting of purchase contracts and agreements. Pepares and executes proprietary information agreements. Prepares and executes negotiated contractual documents and binding agreements. Manages supplier/subcontractor performance and relationship to ensure delivery, quality, financial stability and overall performance. Mitigates risks and issues. Initiates supplier improvement activities and provides results for integration into contracting strategies. Responsible for the coordination of contract negotiation/purchase order placement supporting C-17 and Vertical Lift platforms for customer spare requirements. Candidate will be required to work closely with Supply Chain, Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Tool Engineering, Program Representatives, and Post Award teams to facilitate the placement and execution of purchase orders to satisfy spare customer requirements.

Some other day to day responsibilities include:

* Prepares and executes proprietary information agreements.

* Supports sourcing strategies, negotiations and documenting of contracts and agreements.

* Partnering w/ Program and Engineering teammates to provide the best sourcing solution for our programs.

* Performs continuous review and analysis of demand and supply.

* Communicates performance expectations and metrics to evaluate and monitor supplier performance.

* The candidate must possess strong business acumen, communication and problem solving skills. Proactive engagement with various disciplines and program stakeholders is required.

Work Shift: Full Time Day Shift

Required Qualifications:

* Experience in Purchasing/Procurement, and Supply Chain processes (purchasing, procurement, purchase orders, contracts).

Preferred Qualifications:

* Bachelors degree in related field is preferred

* Experience with the Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Project

* Experience interacting with customers or suppliers regarding contract requirements and/or proposals

* Experience working in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment is highly desired

* Experience implementing process and/or strategy improvements and an applied understanding of Lean practices

* Ability to be self-directed in work and/or previous experience in a self-directed role

* Communication skills and customer focus are critical to be successful in the role

Typical Education:

* Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. 4 years' related work experience). Applicable and appropriate educational/certification credentials from an accredited institution and/or equivalent experience is required.

Relocation: This position is located in a location that does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Export Control: The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a US Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. US Person includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee
