Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking a Mid-level Non Destructive Test Specialist to support our programs located in Mesa, Arizona.
Position Responsibilities:
* Performs setup for specialized non-destructive test or measurement equipment.
* Develops procedures and processes.
* Performs tests or inspections and collects data.
* Documents, analyzes and communicates results and assists with corrective action recommendations. Provides feedback on adverse trends.
* Responsible for non-destructive testing and acceptance of repairs to company products.
* Conducts certification preparation training.
* Analyzes data and assists with nonconformance resolutions.
* Documents and communicates test, analysis or measurement results through entries in quality records or test reports.
* Provides feedback on adverse trends for process control and process improvement.
* Performs setup of specialized test or measurement equipment. Performs specialized tests.
* Develops procedures and technique sheets for setting up and calibrating existing test equipment.
* Performs setup of specialized test or measurement equipment.
* Develops procedures for setup and calibration of existing test equipment.
* Assists with developing procedures for setup and calibration of new or innovative tests.
* Trains others in the utilization of existing equipment in preparation for certification examinations.
* Performs wide range of tests or inspections and collects data for routine and new lines of work or special assignments.
* Conducts testing and acceptance of scheduled or special inspections of company products.
The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a US Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. US Person includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
* NDT/NDI certifications as a level 2 Technician per NAS 410 in Ultrasonic, X-ray, Dye Penetrant, Eddy Current, or Magnetic Particle.
* Available to work any shift based on the needs of the operation.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
* AA degree in related discipline and 3 or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Experience with Continuous Improvement, Lean and Employee Involvement
Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor+1 years' related work experience, 5 years' related work experience, etc.).
