Siris universal search engine powers search features across a variety of Apple products, including Siri, Spotlight, Safari, Messages and Lookup. Our team, Siri Search Infrastructure, designs, builds, and optimizes our data processing and global serving infrastructure to meet demanding latency, quality, and reliability goals. We implement sophisticated information retrieval techniques, machine learning models, and frameworks to bring search applications to life. Key Qualifications
Key Qualifications
* 6+ years experience in developing large scale, multi-threaded, high performance services in Go or C++
* Experience with search engines like SOLR or ElasticSearch and other information retrieval engines
* Experience building scalable cloud infrastructure and services
* Experience with embeddings search or machine learning is a plus
* Strong Computer Science fundamentals and good grasp on data structures / algorithms
* Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills
* Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills

Description
As a senior member of our Search Infrastructure team, you will lead development on search indexes, data stores, and data processing projects. You will design and engineer key search components and working with other teams to maximize scale, availability, and relevance of the search stack. Youll research new information retrieval methodologies and collaborate to apply them to Siri Search. Youll diagnose impactful issues and work with QA and engineering to deliver high quality new search experiences to our customers.

Education & Experience
BS in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience. Masters/PHD is a plus.
