Job Description

GM Operating Finance is looking for highly motivated, results driven individuals that possess strong analytic and technical skills. You'll execute strategic initiatives that drive higher corporate profitability while partnering with global cross-functional teams.

Opportunities exist in Manufacturing, Global Purchasing and Supply Chain, Global Product Development, Financial Planning and Analysis, Sales Service and Marketing and Customer Care and Aftersales.

Responsibilities

* Execute all the primary functions of Corporate Finance planning, budgeting, advising, analyzing, presenting, and deciding

* Develop and present insights and well thought out recommendations to leaders

* Develop and utilize financial modeling techniques to evaluate risks and opportunities

* Solve problems and develop new methods of analysis to streamline decision making

* Seek out and correct inconsistent data; find and fix root cause of inconsistencies, understand the drivers

* Collaborate and coordinate information flow with other staffs and business units for optimal corporate decisions

* Learn and partner with the specific business that would be supported (Product Development, Supply Chain, Sales Service and Marketing, Manufacturing, etc.)

* Present to GM Senior Management and communicate key issues for action/decision (the 30 second rule)

* Provide accurate, timely, and reliable reporting and controls

Additional Job Description

Qualifications

* Strong analytical skills/fundamental knowledge of Corporate Finance

* 2+ years of Finance experience as an Analyst in Corporate Finance, Industrials, Treasury, Investment Banking, or Consulting

* Bachelor's or masters degree in business, finance, economics, or related area

* Knowledge of corporate finance principles including ability to perform balance sheet analysis, net income statement analysis, cash flow statement analysis, etc.

* Experience with common financial tools: ROI, NPV

* Advanced Excel & PowerPoint skills

* Strong modeling and financial valuation skills

* Familiarity with accounting principles

* Ability to coordinate and manage tasks within a broader project

* Work with a sense of urgency and prioritize of projects

* Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently with minimal guidance/supervision

* Proactively work to resolve issues and move project tasks forward

* Teamwork/Leadership Skills ability to work with people within and outside group
