General Summary:
Has the overall responsibility for building, analyzing, and improving the sales and demand forecast to support sales and inventory goals for their defined departments. Partners with the Demand Chain Management providing analytics and insights to deliver business objectives. Drives the continuous improvement of demand planning systems and processes, and the continuous improvement of demand chain KPI development, tools and reporting. Mentor the development of the Planning Analysts and supervise the quality of the Analysts deliverables.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop sales forecasts and conduct demand forecast analysis for assigned group of departments
Deliver insights regarding seasonality trends to optimize sales opportunities including alignment with stakeholders on the tracking and execution of inventory plans
Drive the continuous improvement of Promotional Event Forecasting and demand chain execution
Drive the continuous improvement of demand chain KPI development, tools and reporting
Partner with the demand chain, providing forecasting and Gold system subject matter expertise to improve KPI metrics
Works on department sponsored projects and or process improvements
Supports vendor collaboration (forecast data)
Mentor the development of the Planning Analysts and supervise the quality of the Analysts deliverables
Qualifications
* Ability to understand, assess and problem solve by leveraging technical and analytical skills
* Strong business acumen and ability to transform data into insights and recommendations
* Ability to drive continuous improvements through system or process enhancements
* Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
* Advanced proficiency in MS Office, SharePoint and database and BI (data visualization) applications
* Ability to work with and communicate effectively across all levels of the organization
Work Experience and/or Education:
Bachelors degree in business management, finance or related field and three years of related professional experience in supply chain, inventory management, and/or demand planning required. Knowledge of the demand forecasting/planning systems preferred. Working knowledge of forecasting methodology preferred. Aldata G.O.L.D. knowledge preferred.
