General Summary:

In conjunction with the U.S. Retail Bank and Mortgage (USRBM) Re-engineering Manager, the Senior Process Engineer will be primarily responsible for evaluation of existing processes for efficiencies and potential gaps or breaks. This role will coordinate analysis with Risk Management, Compliance, Legal, Control, Technology, and Business teams to understand critical process junctures. The Senior Process Engineer will create and support process maps during LEAN and other process improvement initiatives, ensuring all impacted stakeholders have the ability to provide impact assessments of proposed updates. This role is an active implementation partner in all material process changes, keeping the master repository accurate. The Senior Process Engineer provides transparency into impacts of both technology and non-technology changes to USRBM processes in time for appropriate analysis, training, and/or communication and procedural updates. This role may also be asked to lead adhoc data analysis, data recon, and recurring reporting as needed.

Responsibilities:

* Partner and mentor business analysts as part of requirements design during process improvement initiatives
* Lead or participate in KAIZEN sessions as necessary to achieve efficiency objectives, keeping the customer first
* Assess creation and approval of process improvement plans, direct activities regarding cost/benefit analysis while ensuring on time delivery of approved plans
* Build process maps for critical USRBM processes as part of LEAN and/or other process improvement initiatives
* Identify all stakeholders and include in scope definition activities, understanding the schedule and key milestones
* Work with sponsors to ensure business case, scope, and benefits analysis are aligned with business resources, escalating as necessary where insufficient
* Escalate implementation and deployment risks to the Re-engineering Manager, Program or Project Manager, and Sponsor, ensuring performance is monitored and actions taken if performance warrants a corrective action plan (as applicable)
* In conjunction with Re-engineering Manager, define key performance metrics to ensure objectives meet expectations
* Positively affect the business by influencing strategic functional decisions through advice or counsel
* Persuade and influence others through developed communication plans and diplomacy skills with colleagues in other areas
* May be asked to lead Adhoc data analysis, data recon, and recurring reporting

Requirements:

* Bachelors degree required; Masters degree preferred
* 5-10 years experience in the financial services industry; banking and/or mortgage knowledge preferred
* 3-5 years process mapping and analysis experience, preferably in a financial services industry
* Lean Six Sigma; CitiLean Associate/Practioner certification preferred
* Prior experience with successful RPA initiatives preferred
* Possess skills to develop innovative solutions to solve complex business problems
* Comprehensive understanding of independent and cross-functional area dependencies to achieve business objectives
* Strong understanding of business procedures, financial services products and computer systems
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and influential leadership skills
* Strong presentation skills to effectively communicate ideas, results, and recommendations
* Strong facilitation skills, with ability to lead thorough influence, negotiate, plan, and make decisions to meet objectives within identified time commitments
* Proficient in process mapping tools such as Visio, Tibco, etc.
* SQL, MS Excel, MS Access, Teradata, SAS, Cognos, etc. a plus
