Brief Description of the Organization
North America (NA) Consumer Banking: over 30,000 professionals working together to provide consumers with credit card, retail banking, wealth management, small business, mortgage and payment products and services. Within NA Consumer Banking there are three primary product lines and multiple enabling functions. The two product lines are US Retail Banking, US Branded Cards and Citi Retail Services. Enabling functions include, but are not limited to, Marketing, Digital, Analytics, Technology and Partnerships.
Within the US Retail Banking group, the Segments & Product Team is responsible for designing and delivering differentiated and competitive value propositions to defined client segments. These segments include mass market, emerging affluent, affluent, small business and international personal banking. This team is also responsible for new product development, ongoing product enhancements and ongoing profitability management for deposit and payment products. The deposit and payment products include, but are not limited to, checking, money market, CDs, money movement and fund transfer capabilities. The team provides strategic leadership for Citibanks consumer products.
Within that team, the Deposit Transformation Product Specialist is responsible for managing significant Transformation programs as part of the Deposit Transformation team. This team will fundamentally change the way we engage with our clients. This team will be responsible for the redesign of Citis deposit system and simplification of the product offering and as well as supporting other GCB and Citi-wide initiatives to build a better bank.
This position will report to the Deposit Product Transformation Group Head
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Support key Transformation projects for US Retail Deposits, consistent with Citi-wide and GCB Transformation priorities.
* Drive the fundamental redesign of Citis deposit system, leading the team that will define the use case and requirements as well as manage the cross-functional project team
* Partner with business stakeholders to identify client and business needs, validate pain points, and determine the business case for transformation initiatives. Deploy techniques such as hypotheses development, data analysis / analytics, and business case development. Conduct and incorporate research and competitive analysis as required.
* Support a review of Retails deposit product offering across all products inclusive of retirement to identify opportunities for simplification and support the implementation of any changes
* Liase with technology to develop roadmaps and project plans to deliver transformation initiatives
* Work with partners in Legal, Compliance and Business Practices to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements
* Work closely with business stakeholders and technology to ensure the project roadmap aligns with the enhanced value proposition
* Review end-to-end processes to identify opportunities for enhanced ownership, automation and controls
* Support Citi-wide and GCB Transformation workstreams to drive outcomes and communication
* Execute transformation plans for each focus area including definition and timing of workstreams, deliverables and other milestones against commitments, dependencies and staffing.
Qualifications
* Bachelors degree
* 5+ years of relevant experience
* Understanding of Citis consumer banking products and technology infrastructure a plus
* Demonstrated experience leveraging data to drive results
* Strong project management skills. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously and under strict guidelines
* Ability to form strong partnership with key stakeholders in other areas and work with them on initiatives
* Demonstrated ability to think strategically, analytically, and creatively problem solve
* Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to confidently present to senior leaders
* Passionate about driving change and improving the customer and employee experience
