Job Description

The Citi Legal department seeks to fill an attorney role to help support a firm-wide transformation initiative across all geographies and business and function lines. The role will report to and closely work with the attorney in Corporate Legal who provides primary legal support for the Data-driven elements of the transformation. The role will work with business and function colleagues (Legal, Risk, Compliance, Finance, HR and Enterprise Operations & Technology) across Citi: the Institutional Client Bank; Global Consumer Bank; and Corporate Functions.

The transformation initiative, led by Citis Chief Administrative Office, has several workstreams. This role, while primarily supporting the Data workstream, will also collaborate and coordinate with other workstream efforts, to ensure a consistent and holistic approach to Citis overall transformation work.

Key responsibilities:

While responsibilities and priorities will reflect needs of the specific work in the Data workstream and the overall transformation initiative as it evolves over time; the following are some of the activities expected of this role:

* Provide project legal support for the Enterprise Operations & Technology group, which is responsible for the Data workstream activity and implementation of the Data transformation plan;
* Review and advise on documentation and internal plans;
* Maintain awareness of evolving regulatory expectations, to inform legal support;
* Analyze, evaluate and advise on regulatory expectations and requirements;
* Work with internal and external (law firm and consultant) stakeholders;
* Coordinate with other workstreams, for interdependencies, both with the Data workstream and the overall transformation work;
* Identify, prioritize and proactively advise on tasks, risks, exceptions and issues; and
* Develop, update and effectively communicate with stakeholders on project status and plans.

Qualifications and Skills:

* 5+ years of relevant legal experience
* JD required
* Bar license in good standing to practice law
* Experience with regulatory work and financial sector preferred.
* Strong analytical, writing and organizational skills
