Purpose of Position:

This role will apply advanced knowledge of scientific and engineering principles to the design, redesign, test, modeling and use of various products, subassemblies, complex systems, and product platforms. You will have the opportunity mentor and guide junior engineers working cross functionally with other teams.

Roles and Responsibility:

* Design and analyze electrical hardware circuits to optimally achieve functional requirements and quantitative specifications.
* Design electrical tests to verify performance of electrical hardware circuits and demonstrate insensitivity of the design to parameters including component and manufacturing variation, temperature, humidity, aging, corrosion, esd, emc and vibration and shock.
* Complete requirements for Preliminary and Critical Design Reviews
* Work with business unit to evaluate and make recommendations on open innovation opportunities
* Owns definition of overall product electrical architectures
* Leads and facilitates technical discussions with GPD teams

Education, Background and Skill Requirements:

* BS with a minimum of 15 years of directly relevant experience or a MS with a minimum of 10 years of directly relevant experience.
* Detailed knowledge of ISO quality systems (specifically Design Controls/Product Realization) and related requirements.
* Systems engineering of electrical product architecture
* Circuit design, modeling, performance analysis and tradeoff analysis
* Technical Applications Knowledge
* VOC and Product Definition

Specialization in two or more of the following areas:

* Sensor technology
* Low level analog signal processing and A to D conversion
* Low level analog measurements in the presence of noise
* PCB layout for AC signal integrity, DC signal integrity and EMC
* Embedded firmware
* RTOS
