Job Summary:
Disney Parks, Experiences and Products is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with a passion for building world-class products and a desire to change the way the Walt Disney Company interfaces with its guests. Responsibilities:
* Partner with our engineering team focusing on retail systems, specifically concentrating on Order Management (OMS) connecting systems and frameworks.
* Collaborate with developers and development teams to deliver experiences that delight our guests.
* Resolve defects, support testing effort, and deploy production code on a frequent basis.
* Help recruit, interview, and onboard new talent as the team grows
* Be a technical pillar for the engineering team through collaboration and mentorship of other engineers.
* Analyze the technical feasibility of product features and help to guide feature development and roadmap from a technical perspective.
* Work with the team leads to understand product requirements, design and implement solutions, and work with QA to validate those solutions.
* Participate in the Agile team ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, decomposition and daily standups.
Basic Qualifications:
* BS/BA degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience required
* 5+ years of full software development lifecycle experience.
* 5+ years experience with Sterling Order Management (OMS) Suite
* Have proven track record and 5+ years' experience in defining and building B2B Integration solution architecture
* Experience working in and leading the technical design solution and implementation for ERP, IBM Sterling
* Excellent problem solving skills.
* Excellent and deep understanding of design patterns and modern, highly scalable application development.
* Organized, detail-oriented and able to deliver projects on time.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills. Highly motivated, self-starting individual
Preferred Qualifications:
* 5+ Years experience in implementation of Wholesale solutions for multi-channels Retailers
* 5+ Years experience in integrating Wholesale Solutions with Business Partners with various communications protocols (REST, WSDLs, Gateways, APIs, etc.)
* Integration experience with Third Party Applications (examples: Web Services, Tax Processors, Payment Processors, Fulfillment, Address Engines).
* Detailed knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), Enterprise Service Bus (ESB), and Object Oriented Analysis and Design/Development (OOA/OOD).
* Ability to think strategically and help development/architect teams for strategies and tactics that produce fast turnaround
* Excellent personal communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
* Masters degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
