Work under direction of supervisor or any intermediary the supervisor may assign.
Assist with associated construction/housekeeping work. Operate material handling equipment including forklift in. the performance of maintenance work including chip movement.
Clean machinery and equipment, disassembling mi'nor parts such as covers, guards, housings, if required for internal Cleaning. Occasionally remove chips and pump coolant from machines, removing sludge and dirt, clean and refill with coolant. Also spin dry chips to remove coolant when a general building maintenance person isn't available. Operate pumps and other equipment needed to perform work. Handle drums of oil, coolant and solvent either to refill machines or to set them on racks for general factory use. Refill solvent cans. Sweep, mop and vacuum floors, remove trash, refill paper and soap dispensers.
Personally perform maintenance work below this grade level, including emergency snow removal.
Observe all safety and housekeeping requirements including but not limited to refuse collection and disposal, yard maintenance as necessary, and assisting in lifting and putting items in their proper place.
Promptly alert the supervisor or other intermediary to problems or factors which exert disruptive or delaying influences on the operation.
Move, weigh and separate record scrap. Pre-weigh scrap brass tubs and stack and record on clip sheet. Assist in unloading filled scrap brass tubs into truck. Remove . empty tubs to storage area. Remove scrap wood from receiving to dumpster.
Make product movement rounds several times per day. Deliver round wire work orders to coiling. Making reels and boxes as directed by management, Remove empty reel pallets from coil to receiving and strap/pre-weigh: Organize Central wire empty reels on pallet. When needed assist stockroom and receiving in product movement.
