* Bachelor of Science in Industrial, Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering.
* Minimum of five (5) years of project management experience incorporating operations, process improvement and manufacturing maintenance.
* Minimum of five (5) years of lean manufacturing experience.
* Experience in formal cost justifications required.
* Experience in leading projects, teams and operations within a manufacturing environment required.
* Demonstrates the ability to drive and implement change in products, processes and culture, interest in hands on application is preferred
* Demonstrated experience with CAD drawing (AutoCad or similar).
* Knowledge of current technologies and industry trends.
* Ability to communicate with and understand the needs of non-technical internal clients.
* Able to build strong and dependable teams.
* Demonstrates excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
* Proficiency utilizing operations/computer simulation.
* Ability to work with all functional departments in the organization.
* Strong sense of urgency and personal commitment.

What Youll Do
As a Lean Process Engineering Manager, youll be a part of the Operations team in Decorah, IA where youll plan utilization of facilities, equipment, materials, and personnel to improve efficiency of operations. Specifically, youll:

* Actively drive productivity improvement programs, encompassing the entire manufacturing process from raw material to finished goods.
* Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods, incorporate product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality standards.
* Incorporate manufacturing principles of Industry 4.0 and traditional Lean manufacturing to coach, train and improve processes and productivity.
* Ensure safety and ergonomic considerations are made relating to equipment, process and plant layout.
* Confer with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, staffing requirements and other considerations to facilitate production processes.
* Apply statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential and implements improvements.
* Work closely with IT resources to identify and utilize digital solutions and hardware for manufacturing processes, i.e. Smart factory.
* Develop and prepare formal cost justifications for purchase of Capital Equipment.
* Confer with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts, and evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards.
* Prepare work analysis reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing data and employing analytical tools such as operations/computer simulation.
* Analyze data and trends to identify problems and opportunities and makes recommendations to reduce gaps.
* Ensure compliance with established document control procedures.
