Basic Job Functions:
Responsibilities for a Quality Service Representative include but are not limited to:
* The Quality Service Rep will receive phone calls from the field and gather necessary information to document on a QSR form to expedite necessary materials to the field.
* The Quality Service Rep will communicate with customers on a regular basis, and demonstrate problem solving skills through dialogue with the field. A Q&A process will be common to sort out issues and define the most effective solution.
* The Quality Service Rep will be involved in the investigative process of solving problems by working with teammates, reviewing contract information, and erection drawings. Also, the Quality Service Rep will be responsible for initiating the solutions for issues being faced at the jobsite. This involvement may include pro-active site visits or involving other departments.
* Review and negotiate back charges submitted from the field when quality issues require additional materials and labor from our customers/erectors.
* The Quality Service Rep will identify trends and recommend and facilitate solutions as part of our division quality meetings to drive world class quality.
* Required to travel to jobsites or customers offices with little or short notice.

Minimum Qualifications:
* High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
* Prior experience with Microsoft programs, including Microsoft Excel and Word.
* At least two-years prior metal building and/or similar construction experience.
* Prior experience in customer service and/or direct customer interaction and coordination.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Prior Technical Associates Degree or Bachelors Degree in Business, Construction, or Engineering related fields.
* Prior pre-engineered metal building (PEMB) experience.

The Raw Materials segment produces direct reduced iron (DRI); processes ferrous and nonferrous metals; brokers ferrous and nonferrous metals, pig iron, DRI, and hot briquetted iron; supplies ferro-alloys; and processes ferrous and nonferrous scrap metal, as well as engages in the natural gas drilling operations. This segment sells its ferrous scrap to electric arc furnace steel mills and foundries for manufacturing process; and nonferrous scrap metal to aluminum can producers, secondary aluminum smelters, steel mills and other processors, and consumers of various nonferrous metals.
The company offers its products through its in-house sales forces; and internal distribution and trading companies. The company was founded in 1940 and is based in Charlotte, North Carolina.
