Senior Signal and Power Integrity Engineer

The HoloLens team in Mountain View, CA is hiring Senior Signal and Power Integrity Engineer.

The candidate will have a deep understanding of electromagnetics and strong EE fundamentals. The successful candidate will be a strong communicator, be creative, think critically, and able to analyze & distill complex issues.

The team is that incubated Kinect and profoundly redefined the way people interact with technology is forming a product development team to change the world again! We are growing team of experienced device product developers, working in a startup environment on redefining experiences with epic technology innovation. We are developing ground-breaking hardware, software and experiences across computer vision, machine learning, human-computer interaction, and image and video processing, networking and graphics. We will transform our ideas into reality through shipping a first-to-market product.

You will be responsible for

* Frequent PCB layout reviews
* High-speed routing
* Capacitor selection and placement
* Power/GND shapes and stitching
* Flex circuit layout reviews
* Connector pinouts
* What-if simulation studies for:
* Interconnect
* EMC mitigation
* RF defense mitigation

* MS in Electrical Engineering, Physics or similar field required. Ph.D. preferred
* Minimum 5 years' experience designing electronic systems
* Excellent written and verbal communication, including the ability to express technical concepts in verbal and written forms.
* Detail oriented, excellent analytical skills, hands-on problem-solving skills
* An understanding of S-parameter modeling methodologies and power integrity concepts and principles
* Experience with network analyzers and high-speed scopes
* Experience with design tools including Sigrity PowerSI/PowerDC/SystemSI/BBS, CST Microwave Design Studio, Ansys, SiSoft QCD, hspice, ADS
* Deep understanding of HDI PCB design and PCB design tools like Cadence Allegro
* Thorough understanding of the relationship between physical layout and electrical performance
* Demonstrated ability to work well with cross-function teams
* Must be able to handle multiple projects, programs and tactical and strategic development efforts without supervision
