*Hospital will be transitioning to Dayton Children's to be a hospital within a hospital model of care in early 2021.

Shriners Childrens Ohio is well known for world-class burn care and is also a recognized leader in the field of plastic and reconstructive surgery from routine to rare. Services are provided in a family-centered environment, regardless of a familys ability to pay. We are seeking candidates for our Medical Assistant opportunity in our Outpatient Clinic.

MEDICAL ASSISTANT OUTPATIENT CLINIC

Will assist nursing and medical staff in a pediatric multi-provider hospital based outpatient department. Stock rooms and assist with gathering and mailing supplies for patients/families; prepare rooms before and after visits, assist with intake data collection and entry into the electronic medical record including but not limited to vital signs, height, weight, allergies, and review of screening tool information provided by patients and families. Assist the nursing staff with treatments, dressing changes and other patient care needs.

The hours for this full-time position are 8am - 4:30pm.

* Able to communicate effectively with patients and families and work in a team environment.
* Requires High School Diploma or GED
* Medical Assistant Certification through American Association of Medical Assistants and BLS
* Minimum 2 years Medical Assistant experience required
* 2 years previous experience in Pediatric care preferred
