Daily responsibilites:

* Make ready, operate, and maintain 6, 8 or 12 color sheetfed presses
* Producing critical color and registration printed materials ranging from hairline to large solids on a variety of substrates
* Perform all make-ready tasks associated with the type of press operated such as hanging plates and blankets
* Make recommendations for the necessary color corrections and/or press adjustments prior to production run to meet and maintain the quality specifications of the projects
* Clean, lubricate, and maintain the press, making minor repairs and replacing worn or broken parts as required
* Perform preventive maintenance recommended by the manufacturer
* Other duties as assigned

$1.00/hour shift differential is paid for all 2nd or 3rd shift schedules worked.

Initial training may take place on any shift.



Required Skills

Required Skills:

* Comprehensive knowledge of a wide variety of techniques, procedures, materials, specifications, equipment, and safety requirements to set-up, adjust, operate, and maintain equipment to produce single-, two-, and/or multi-color work to critical tolerances
* Skill in a wide-variety of complex manipulations and mechanical procedures to perform a variety of tasks to set-up, make major adjustments, and perform routine maintenance and minor repairs of equipment to produce single-, two-, and/or multi-color work
* Ability to read and understand job specifications and knowledge of press capabilities to determine the most appropriate press usage, press settings and materials needed to run the job successfully.
* Press Operators with 40 sheetfed experience is a prerequisite.

Familiarization with Komori or KBA presses is a plus.

Required Experience

Must have prior Press Operator experience with large presses in commercial printing.
