Operations Superintendent (Gonzales, LA)
Description
LSIs industrial services are extensive and offer refineries, chemical plants, pipelines, storage terminals, utilities and steel mills services including cleaning, purging, drying, displacing, cooling, leak testing, pressure testing and inspection of piping, furnaces, vessels, reactors and tanks.
Job Purpose: The Operations Superintendent will be responsible for daily operations in the respective region to ensure the required business objectives are met in a safe and environmentally compliant manner.
Scope: The Operations Superintendent will handle the full responsibilities of the required activities that fulfill business and customer requirements. Supervise employee and operational performance; meet established quality, productivity and cost objectives while ensuring adherence to safety and compliance programs.   
Responsibilities:
  * Self-starter able to work with minimal supervision
  * Accountable for managing the day-to-day operations including employee scheduling, product management, maintenance and productivity while promoting safety
  * Implement and comply to policies, procedures and senior management's direction related to the business plan
  * Assignments are defined in terms of activities or objectives and work is reviewed for adequacy in meeting objectives
  * Provide leadership to their team, mentor, and support development of the employees
  * Anticipates problems and assists with developing contingencies
  * Problem solver in fast paced business
  * Regularly interacts with subordinates and middle management
 
Qualifications
  * High School Diploma required; post-secondary education preferred
  * Candidate should possess strong working knowledge, literacy and demonstrated capability with Microsoft Office products
  * Experience managing and leading a team
  * A minimum of 5+ years of successfully leading Operations in similar industry 
  * Travel: 30-50%
