As a Field Engineer for our district office located in Honolulu, Hawai'i, you will contribute to our team by:

* Assisting project engineers with trade contractor management, including requests for information (RFIs), shop drawings, changes, and billings.
* Assisting with updating project schedules, drawings, and specifications.
* Assisting in tracking time, materials, equipment, cost, and quantities.
* Conducting basic safety inspections and trainings, identifying hazards and corrections, and leading by example for health and safety practices and procedures.
* Liaising with trade contractors, consultants, designers, and engineers.
* Assisting with third-part inspections and site reviews.
* Conducting basic quality inspections.

What you will bring to the role:

* Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or architecture.
* 0-1 year of progressive experience in a construction-related discipline preferred.
* Basic knowledge of or ability to learn construction specifications, methods, and procedures.
* Ability to learn, understand, and apply basic construction principles to problem solve.
* Clear verbal and written communication with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of people.
* Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment, potentially reporting to different people.
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

Working Conditions:

* Work may be performed in a jobsite office/field setting on an active construction site with frequent walking of project site.
* There may be exposure to inclement weather conditions, various construction equipment, excessive noise, dust, dangerous substances, and excessive heights.
