Job Description

Etsy is looking for a Vetting Agent to be part of a dedicated Vetting team on Trust and Safety. The Vetting team is responsible for supporting Etsys marketing initiatives by reviewing shops and sellers before they are publicly featured. If so, this could be the perfect match.

This is a full-time position within our Trust & Safety team, located in Brooklyn, NY or Hudson, NY, reporting to the Manager of Vetting. Were also open to remote hires within all U.S. states except Hawaii and Alaska.

About the Role

In this role you will:

* Review items and shops to make sure they are following Etsys Policy and set of defined values before the Marketing team features publicly in social media, blog, emails, etc

* Understand and apply risk management based on the type of features

* Approve or reject based on risk levels and assigning a risk rejection for tracking purposes

* Be an specialist in identifying and assessing problematic item types and risks to Etsy's brand

* Attend monthly meetings with cross functional partners and stakeholders

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams when more specialized reviews are needed in order to assess risk

* Answer general questions from Marketing team in vetting Slack channels

Qualifications

About You
Ideally you'll bring:

* At least two years of past Trust & Safety experience

* Proven judgement calls in an efficient manner

* Focused expertise to identify trends, patterns, or emerging problems in data

* You rely on an equal balance of emotion and logic to inform your decisions

* A track record of being an extraordinary listener and communicator

* Willingness to offer advice and call out issues when seen

* Proactive in nature, always looking for ways to improve processes, tooling, and collaboration with other teams

* Past experience with superbit, text expander, looker a plus but not required

* A Bachelor degree is preferred but not required

* A trust in and commitment to Etsys vision, mission and values.
