ISR & Space Systems Windsor Locks is looking for energetic and highly motivated candidates for its engineering organization. The primary responsibility of an Advanced Systems and Technologies Laboratory Technician is to support the research and development that is performed in the Advanced Technologies Engineering Laboratories. The Advanced Systems and Technologies Lab Technician will conduct hands-on work in close coordination with advanced technology engineers in the Advanced Engineer Laboratory to advance technologies from the proof-of-concept stage up to fully functional prototypes for flight experiments.

Basic Qualifications:

* Must be a US Person or Green Card Holder
* Bachelors degree OR
* In absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience is required
* Must have or be capable of obtaining a US Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance. Candidate selected will be subject to a government security investigation/reinstatement and must meet eligibility requirements
* Candidate should have basic background knowledge of blueprint reading and be someone who is good working with their hands
* Candidate should possess a high level of attention to detail as well as someone who seeks opportunities to continuously improve both people and process
* Candidate should be able to work in a dynamic fast paced environment while following processes and procedures
* Candidate must be able to stand, bend, stretch and move throughout the facility as well as wear appropriate PP&E; (clean room, ESD, etc.).
* Must be able to read and interpret a schematic, build a test setup based on that schematic, and suggest changes to engineering if required to meet the intent of the test
* Must be capable of building a test set up or concept by working with an engineer verbally to take his/her ideas and transform them into reality in the lab environment
* Ability to perform testing with limited direction
* Must be able to perform maintenance on lab equipment
* Must possess simple machining skills on a Bridgeport or Lathe
* Experience with mechanical assembly of hardware
* Experience with electrical assembly of hardware
* Possess the ability to think critically and multi-task
* Possess the ability to program PLC Controllers

Preferred Qualifications:

* 2-3 years soldering experience is preferred
