As part of the Chief Control Executive Office, the Control Sr. Officer - Issue Management Data Insights will provide holistic support for development of the front line Issue Management capability. This role will help drive front line accountabilities and implementation of Issue Management and Escalation program activities in partnership across the Control Function and front line business groups, consistent with frameworks and policies established by Independent Risk Management (IRM).

The Sr. Officer will provide support for development of items such as governance structure and framework along with support for program management (including process document management and maintenance). The Sr. Officer will also provide execution delivery support and engagement across a wide range of activities, including SHRP, issues tracking, root cause, corrective action and escalation. Additionally, this role will assist in coordination of ongoing data, processes and insights to drive improved issue management outcomes and decisions via data analysis, reporting, process redesign and KPIs. The Sr. Officer will play a key role to help build out metrics and actionable insights along with enhancement of front-line tools and platforms to support business and control owners in driving issue management program consistency and alignment to both enable and strengthen our issue management discipline across Wells Fargo.

Specific Responsibilities:

* Support and execute on activities to drive the advancement of Issues Management and Escalation program, including delivery of analyses, insights and decision strategies across business lines or with an enterprise-wide impact
* Help identify and deliver the analytics and reporting necessary to support the Issues Management and Escalation processes
* Leverage data and analytics to inform and influence the implementation of Issues Management and Escalation strategies with a focus on high-quality execution and transparency
* Help drive front line technology requirements to enable successful rollout of Issues Management and Escalation Program
* Ensure effective issue management and escalation, including timely issue escalation, prompt and thorough issue remediation, accurate corrective action tracking and reporting, and consistency of approach
* Conduct activities in alignment with IRM requirements
* Maintain a holistic view of risks and issues across the firm and ensure that issues are proactively identified, addressed appropriately, measured and escalated (when necessary)
* Evaluate data and reporting to compile fit for purpose commentary that drives meaningful conversation in the verticals as well as across the enterprise; understand the audience and be able to provide executive level communication.
* Partner and continue to build relationships with Control Executive LOB teams to foster clear and proactive communication resulting in the effectiveness of the Issues Management and Escalation program.

Required Qualifications
* 10+ years of experience in risk management or 10+ years of financial services industry experience, of which 7+ years must include direct experience in risk management

Desired Qualifications
* Experience working with the Shared Risk Platform (SHRP)
* Advanced Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, LiveMeeting and SharePoint) skills

Other Desired Qualifications
* Strong knowledge of Issue Management life cycle and program
* Strong knowledge across risk identification, risk appetite and strategy, risk-related decisions, processes and controls, risk analytics and governance.
* Understanding of best-practice risk management techniques across financial services industry.
* Knowledge of relevant financial regulations and understanding of how they are implemented, managed and enforced.
* Strong interpersonal, influencing, and communications skills with an ability to interact effectively with stakeholders and regulators, to include virtual, matrixed leadership experience and the ability to effectively manage and build relationships within the business and enterprise Risk function.
* Proven relationship-building skills to drive alignment across stakeholder groups to develop and deliver repeatable end to end risk management solutions and controls aligned with business/customer processes.
* Strong understanding of risk framework, corporate/business policies, and programs to translate into plans for the business, function and/or risk type.
* Ethical integrity and demonstrated ability to assess and determine when to raise concerns and escalate.
* Strong analytical ability used to identify risks and confidently raise issues, escalate early and engage in constructive credible challenge and will do so independently when necessary.
* Ability to conceptualize, develop, and deliver quality analysis and highly-actionable management information.
* Experience providing concise and relevant reporting and updates to senior-level management.
