The Mental Health Technician position in our Intake Department is a full-time opportunity (hours are 4p.m.-12:00 a.m.) with exceptional benefits and competitive wages.
Central Florida Behavioral Hospital is a 174-bed, private psychiatric center located in Orlando, FL. Central Florida Behavioral Hospital offers a full continuum of care including inpatient treatment services for children, adolescents and adults; and partial hospitalization, intensive out-patient and ECT services for adults. Our treatment philosophy is based on a team approach that treats patients with dignity and respect, while delivering high-quality care. We are searching for passionate candidates for the Mental Health Technician in our Intake unit to assist us in our mission.
Mental Health Technician Essential Job Duties:
* Greet patients and families upon arrival to the Intake Department;
* Conduct initial safety search of all patients upon arrival;
* Assists and monitors staff at all times: conducts patient monitoring and observations;
* Provides adequate staff supervision and escorts patients in a safe, orderly manner
Qualifications
Eligible Candidates for the Mental Health Technician in Intake should have:
* Bachelors degree in psychology or related field (preferred);
* Two years experience in a psychiatric hospital setting as a Mental Health Technician working with children, adolescents and/or adults (preferred);
* Ability to work under pressure;
* Effective oral and written communication skills
Hours:
* Full-Time 4p.m.-12:00 a.m.
