* The Logistics Support Coordinator is responsible for ensuring all daily domestic & international shipment requirements are completed on-time and that all necessary documentation is filled out accurately and completely to meet all regulatory and shipment requirements. This individual communicates with Thermo Fisher Scientific transportation, 3rd party customer service providers and other distribution center personnel to coordinate these deliveries. There is also communication with the Customer Service organization to gain clarity on shipment requirements and rescheduling of open orders. Problem resolution and insurance claims processing may also be part of this job function.
What will you do?
* Executes the daily scheduling of all international shipping to ensure on-time shipments to all destinations.
* Respond to shipping emails from Customer Care, Commercial Teams within the same day.
* Create Electronic Pick Notifications for customer orders.
* Process small parcel shipments (during end of month or high volumes).
* Host daily order fulfillment calls to ensure all shipments are on track.
* Works with contract and third-party transportation service providers to ensure on-time delivery performance.
* Coordinate the deliveries of material from outside warehouses to be consolidated with freight from this facility..
* Takes assigned training to stay in compliance with all transportation and hazardous materials regulations.
* File completed shipment documents to meet compliance guidelines.
Other Responsibilities:
* Monitors Electronic Pick Notification creation dashboard
* Monitors the Electronic Pick Notification life cycle
* Provides root cause detail against aging Electronic Pick Notifications
* Monitors and reconcile (or facilitates the clearance) of EPNs stuck in released statuses 4 - 9 daily.
* Attend daily Stand Up Staff/Tier meetings.
* Required to move boxes up to 30lbs.
* Spend considerable time at a computer keyboard composing shipping paperwork, spreadsheets and emails.
* Perform 5S daily checklist.
Required Experience/Skillset:
* Bachelors degree, or equivalent 5 years in Logistics / Transportation environment.
* 1-2 years of related training and or experience in transportation related business is ideal, not required.
* Experience in fast pace - deadline based environment, extra hours maybe required when working at the end of month or quarters.
* Use analytics skills to identify where deviation from standard procedures are warranted and establish corrective action.
* Required good oral and written presentation skills to communicate ideas and procedures to management and peers.
