The Flow Cytometry Instrument portfolio contains innovative, high-quality flow cytometry cell sorters and analyzers. Our business unit serves researchers worldwide empowering the process of scientific discovery with a strong focus on the areas of applied markets, cellular immunity, immunotherapy and oncology.

How will you make an impact?
The Cell Sorter Technical Sales Specialist is responsible for the technical sales and related support activities for Flow Cytometry Instrumentation, specializing in cell sorters, to specified academic, government or industrial accounts comprising the assigned territory of the Western United States: CA, OR, WA, NV, ID, UT, AZ, NM, CO, WY, MT, ND, SD, NE, KS, OK, TX, MN, IA, MO, AR, LA, WI, MI, IL, IN.

What will you do?

* Drive sales growth in the area of Flow Cytometry cell sorters and analyzers

* Display an acute awareness of the life science marketplace, particularly of the flow cytometry market, its trends and our competitors

* Provide excellent customer support and be a technical reference for our customers

How will you get here?
Education

* Requires a BA or BS in Biology, Immunology or related field

* Preferred M.Sc. or PhD

Experience

* More than two years2019 experience running a Multi-Parameter Cell Sorter

* Previous sales experience selling flow cytometry equipment and/or reagents

* Strong technical background with a minimum of 2 years hands-on experience in a research laboratory setting

* Experience in working successfully in a matrix environment

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

* Strong oral and written communication skills

* Success in working and driving business in a matrix environment

* Ability to travel overnight travel up to 50% of the time

* Valid driver2019s license and acceptable driving record

* Able to lift 35 lbs. independently

* Experience with Microsoft Office applications

* Knowledge of CRM systems like SFDC

* Solid understanding of the sales funnel and how to move sales forward in a changing environment

* Can-do attitude with exceptional motivation to win sales and take share from competitors
