JOB TITLE: Summer 2021 Intern - Insurance Analyst

LOCATION: Virtual, based in the US

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:
The Insurance Risk Management team is a small team of three responsible for managing Salesforces global property and liability insurance programs. You will learn and experience, first hand, the day-to-day management and operations of a Corporate Risk Management department in a fast growing technology company and how we touch and impact the entire enterprise.

ROLE DESCRIPTION:
As an intern with the Insurance Risk Management team, you will be given the opportunity to see and learn about different parts of the business as we collaborate and work with our internal stakeholders in Finance, Legal, Technology, Employee Success, Real Estate, Health, Safety and Corporate Security on various risk management programs and initiatives. You will assist in the global insurance renewals and policy administration process with our insurance brokers and carriers. The Insurance team is part of the Global Tax & Insurance Ohana (Hawaiian for family) dedicated to building a team with a reputation for a great career experience, integrity, and technical excellence.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

* Current Sophomore/Rising Junior pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Business with a concentration on Insurance and Risk Management, or otherwise Finance or Accounting
* Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
* Skilled in Google suite of products
* Basic knowledge of Salesforce products and tools
* Basic knowledge of Slack and Tableau products
* Process Flowcharting abilities
* General knowledge of accounting and financial statements
* Analytical and problem solving skills, including a strong attention to detail
* Solid communication and presentation skills (written, verbal, and listening)
* Aptitude and passion for learning new things, with an interest in technology
* Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
* Enjoys being a member of a cohesive team and partnering with various cross-functional stakeholders and external business partners
* Positive and collaborative attitude
* Ability to work and communicate in a remote environment
