Position Summary
At PCC Mentor our metrics and financial data are a critical tool in supporting our operational excellence. The Accountant embraces the challenge of analyzing cost and partnering with business leaders to help steer PCC Mentor in the most profitable and ethical direction.
In this role you will be responsible for the daily profit and loss report, variable cost, ensuring the highest level of SOX compliance, and other critical accounting tasks. Our ideal candidate will have a passion for analysis, problem solving, and superior business acumen.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
* Owns labor hour reporting and reconciliation to ensure accuracy.
* Performs material variance analysis and provides guidance to stakeholders.
* Prepares the Daily P&L report used by business leaders to drive the operation.
* Analyzes and creates variable cost reports while working closely with operation leaders to track cost and throughput.
* Serves as an advisor to the operations team by providing insights to data analysis to support operation critical decisions.
* Performs general accounting responsibilities such as Month End Close duties, accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, etc., with the highest level of integrity.
* Ensures SOX Compliance by following control requirements, and performing internal audit of controls.
Experience & Education
* Bachelors Degree or equivalent in Finance or Accounting is required.
* One to three years of experience performing finance and accounting duties preferred.
* Experience in a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
